Due to a lack of response the Chapter will no longer be taking part in the parade below. The parade is still on and obviously anyone can go along and spectate. Gordon. |
The Chapter has been invited to take part in the Art Car Parade, which takes place in Edinburgh on Saturday 28 November. (http://www.edinburghschristmas.com/content/The-Homecoming-2009-Art-Car-Parade-/2474/).
This parade is a first for Scotland, and will feature illuminated customised vehicles of all shapes and sizes being pushed, pedalled and driven from the Royal Mile to St Andrews Square Gardens. The parade is being lead by Red Hugh, a giant motorbike and the organisers are looking for some bikers to help power this. The organisers would also like a few bikes to escort Red Hugh in the parade however these bikes would have to be illuminated in some way as that is the theme of the parade.
All members are of course welcome to come along to spectate and the vehicles will be on display from 3.00pm at Parliament Square before setting off at 5.00pm for the stage show finale at St Andrew Square Gardens where there will be events as part of the Homecoming Finale Weekend.
